Maria Luigia Guaita ha così divulgato la conoscenza dell'arte grafica originale. Ha favorito la diffusione della grafica d'autore, stampata a mano, numerata e firmata dall'artista, quindi originale anche se prodotta in più copie.

Fin dai primi anni della sua attività la stamperia Il Bisonte ha editato lavori di artisti classici italiani quali Soffici, Carrà, Severini, Magnelli, Maccari e di artisti emergenti come Carmassi, Cremonini, Vespignani, Guttuso, Mattioli, Greco, Annigoni, Clerici, Pomodoro, Saetti.

L'alluvione che travolse Firenze nel 1966 sommerse tutto, distruggendo anche la nuova sede della stamperia appena inaugurata nel quartiere d'Oltrarno; ma la sciagura, che sul momento apparve irreparabile, suscitò nuovo vigore. La ripresa dell'attività in un momento in cui l'attenzione del mondo era focalizzata sulla città disastrata coincise con l'apertura di nuovi orizzonti internazionali.

E' in quel momento che Henry Moore avvia una collaborazione destinata a durare nel tempo, seguito da Alexander Calder, Graham Sutherland, Sebastian Matta, Jacques Lipchitz, Rufino Tamayo, Paul Wunderlich, Eduardo Arroyo e altri ancora. Anche i più importanti artisti italiani, così come i giovani artisti interessati alle tecniche grafiche diventate di moda, continuarono a frequentare la stamperia. Questa è stata ed è tutt'oggi luogo di incontri, intreccio di presenze ed esperienze, le più diverse, ma sempre di grande livello.

E' stata eseguita sui torchi de Il Bisonte l'unica litografia stampata in Italia da Pablo Picasso.

In this manner Maria Luigia Guaita has helped the knowledge of the original graphic art reach a wider public. She has favoured the spreading of author prints, i.e. hand printed, numbered and signed by the artist, hence original even if produced in more than one copy.
 
Since its first activity in the early '60s Il Bisonte has been printing works by many famous 'classic' Italian artists, for example Carrà, Severini, Magnelli and Maccari, as well as the works of then emerging artists such as Carmassi, Crremonini, Vespignani, Guttuso, Mattioli, Greco, Annigoni, Clerici, Pomodoro and Saetti.

In November 1966 the Arno flood destroyed the new premises of the printing-house recently set in Oltrarno. Although the damage seemed at first irreparable, Il Bisonte soon recovered and its activity found vigour again. This new burst of activity - in a moment when the attention of the whole world was focused on the shattered city - coincided with the opening of international horizons for Il Bisonte.
 
It was then that Henry Moore embarked on his lengthy cooperation with the printing-house, followed by Alexander Calder, Graham Sutherland, Sebastian Matta, Jacques Lipchitz, Rufino Tamayo, Paul Wunderlich, Eduardo Arroyo and others.
The most important Italian artists of the time who dealt with graphic arts started attending the printing-house, which became very quickly - and still is - a meeting place for many top artists with the most diverse styles and backgrounds.
 
The only lithograph that Picasso published in Italy was in fact printed on the premises of Il Bisonte.
