The ideal opportunity to obtain the first work of art from a future collection for free! (assuming you are between 6 and 14 years old)

On Saturday 5 December at 10.00 (until 13), at the Il Bisonte Gallery, the Young Collectors of Art Prints will be inaugurated, the first exhibition of the homonymous project promoted by the Il Bisonte Foundation in collaboration with the Tuscany Region and with the contribution of Portal Ragazzi – Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze. On display 15 works created by teachers-artists and former students of the Bisonte, alongside 10 works created by children who participated in some courses during 2015.

Young Collectors Art Prints aims to bring the public of the youngest, and their families, closer to the work of art in a more conscious way: cultivating their curiosity and pushing them to a knowledge of the work and the techniques that are involved behind the making. The project sees, on the one hand, the involvement of the teachers, students and former students of the Bisonte who make small print runs of their works available, and on the other hand, the children of primary and lower secondary schools in Florence and of Tuscany, which is given the opportunity to “purchase” real works of art by participating in the exhibitions and training initiatives created for them. It should be emphasized that the purchase does not take place through the exchange of money, but by spending “points” that the Young Collector will earn by participating in individual events.
