An intuitive and emotional ink spreading technique that combines several colors on the same plate with a particularly evocative result… evocative as its name: “a la poupée”, with the doll! But what does a doll have to do with it? It refers to the shape of the wad used to inking the zinc plate.
Technique in vogue between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries that helps to avoid having to deal with the difficulty of registering multiple colored plates and makes the colored areas more vaporous and less delineated.

The course will be held from 19 to 23 July 2021, from 9.00 to 13.00, at the studio of via del Giardino Serristori 13r in Florence, and is based on practical laboratory activity.

From drawing to printing, five days of practical laboratory to create a small work in etching and print some copies with different colors.
The didactic path, practical and personalized, is suitable for both beginners and experts. It is possible to start a project from scratch with a new drawing as it is possible to work on previously made plates.
